The Background

The Laois GAA County Board wanted to upgrade, reconstruct and re-position three pitches on the O’Moore Park site.

The Solution

Hayden Turfcare were engaged to carry out our full Six Stage Project Management Process.

The project involved carrying out a comprehensive review of water flow and attenuation on the site followed by installation of a full attenuation and controlled flow outlet.

A state of the art gravel raft pitch and two pipe and slit pitches were installed, all with a Hayden Turfcare designed irrigation system. Associated tanks, behind goal netting and roadworks followed.

Works were carried out by Kehoe Plant Hire Wexford.

The Result

Ground was broken in May 2015 and the pitches were playable in October 2015 with the project delivered ahead to an exceptional quality ahead of both budget and schedule.

The client has since reported excellent pitch performance and Hayden Turfcare continues to provide after-care maintenance advice and support.
