Clonard GAA Co. Meath 2 new pitches
The Background
Clonard GAA are a progressive, forward-thinking club in Co. Meath.
With an excellent fundraising committee and a parcel of land perfectly situated on the outskirts of the village of Clonard, they wanted to develop a comprehensive training site with associated carparking, road access and site fencing.
The Solution
Hayden Turfcare were engaged to carry out our full Six Stage Project Management Process and following a competitive tender process, CRL were appointed as contractors.
Considerable groundwater management and land drainage was required to make the site workable. The project involved particularly challenging soil conditions and required movement of nearly 20,000 m3 of soil.
The Result
Both pitches were seeded and are expected to be in use in time for the coming season. Landscaping and civil engineering work have also been completed to a particularly high standard.
